A GRAND ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

A grand celebration was witnessed at the campus of Don Bosco School (CBSE), Bandlaguda, on 22^nd February 2014 , on the occasion of the most anxiously awaited event of the year, “The 4^th annual day celebrations”.

The Programme traditionally began with a welcome dance and the lamp lightening ceremony. Later all the dignitaries let their thoughts flow with their precious messages. Rev.Fr. K.T.Jose (Correspondent)  took the privilege to welcome the guests. Our beloved Principal Rev.Fr.B.Suresh presented the School Report .

The cultural Programme kick started with thunderous performances by the tiny buds of Don Bosco. Melodious songs sung by the nightingales enthralled the audience.

The evening commenced with the welcome of the esteemed guests of honor, Rev.Sr Fathima Mary (Superior general, St.Ann’s), Mr.Jagdish babu (Director of income tax), Mr. Bhoopati Rao(MEO, Rajendranagar), Mr.Rajan Philip(Principal- Swami Narayan Gurukul), and Mr.J.Shyam sunder Reddy(Panchayath secretary-bandlaguda Jagir).

The evening came alive through a fascinating instrumental music concert. The martial arts performed by the little stunt masters was outstanding.

The audience were mesmerized by the first ever ‘Shadow play’ presented by the students of Don Bosco. The dance performances by the high school students were indeed electrifying.  

All the parents joined their hands together to cheer their loving kids as they received the prizes for various accomplishments in both academics and extracurricular activities.

Finally there came a moment where the finale had come to an end leaving the audience  a lot of memories to cherish.

Christmas day Celebrations

.

Christmas is a festival of joy and giving. The festival gives us a message to live in peace and love. It teaches us the importance of love and sacrifice.
 This year all the students of Don Bosco School (CBSE), 

Bandlaguda came together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on 21st, December. The Semi - Christmas celebrations were witnessed very clearly as the entire school was beautifully decorated and all were filled with loads of festive spirit. It was a great privilege to have Fr. Thatireddy Vijaybhaskar Reddy ( Vice - Provincial),  Fr. K.T.Jose (Correspondent), Fr.Sojan (Treasurer) and Fr.Benny Joseph as a part of the celebrations. Parents of various students were also present in the school premises to cheer therir kids who were performing on the stafe.
Few students from all the classes mesmerised the audience with a skit related to the birth of Jesus Christ, wherein they dressed as Santa Claus, Joseph, Mother Mary, The Kings (Three Wiseman), Soldiers and the sheoherds.
Children of the Primary Section were seen dressed as angles of God, tapped their feet as they sang the Christmas carols along with Santa Claus.
The students were excited to exchange the surprise gifts they brought for their classmates. In the afternoon seddion all the staff and non-staff gathered for cake cutting and exchanged their surprise gifts. The management presented Christmas gifts to all the members. The principal, Fr.Suresh made every single effort to make the celebrations a grand sucess.
The day commenced with all the teachers and students going home for their Christmas holidays.

Children's day celebrations week

"Children's day celebrations week" was celebrated at Don Bosco School (CBSE), Bandlaguda. Various competitions were conducted for the students and all the teachers encouraged them to take part in different co-curricular activities, to give them a platform to exhibit their hidden talents. The participants were all very enthusiastic and eager to take part in the competitions.

Drawing Competitions was held on 18-11-2013, where the students had to visualize and show their creativity, on how they would save Mother Earth, Save Water and also on the importance of Traffic rules.

Essay and Speech Competition was conducted on 19-11-2013. Many students came forward to write and speak on Global Warming, Life of Don Bosco and Corruption:The never ending crisis in India.

On 23-11-2013, Don Bosco School had many pretty fairies and graceful ballerinas, along with fearsome pirates and brave superheros. It was a day of the Fancy Dress Competition.

Quiz Competition on 28-11-2013. The Knight Riders and the Superheroes were the two groups which took part in the competition. The Questions focused on variety of topics which included, Political sciences, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Mathematics etc.Various rounds,including the audio-visual round kept the audience glued to their seats.

School Picnic

This year the Students of Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda, were all geared up well advance, for their school picnic to " Dream Valley Resorts" which was on 20th, November. Children were very happy as they had a free day to enjoy themselves. The students started at 9.00 am in the transport arranged by the school. All the Teachers accompanied their beloved students. Fr. B.Suresh (The Principal), Fr.K.T.Jose (The correspondent) and Fr.Benny were present at the resorts to monitor the safety of the students.

The management of the resorts made all the arrangements for the children and kept them engaged with Water games, Rain Dance, Magic Shows etc. Everybody had a sumptuous Lunch and spent the rest of the day having a great time playing various outdoor games. Everybody reached back school safely by 5.00 pm. The Picnic thus, came to an end, but its memory will last forever.

Children's Day Celebrations

 

A child has a special way in adding joy to every day

Children are special and to make them feel special, Don Bosco School (CBSE), Bandlaguda, celebrated Children's Day on 14th, November in the school campus. This year celebrations were witnessed till 23rd November, with various competitions each day and also a school Picnic for the children to have a blast.

The celebrations on the actual day were vibrant and colourful. The day kick started with sports competitions and other indoor events for all the students. The Children participated in all the events with a win-win attitude. There was also a special movie screening of all the events of the year, in which the students participated.

In the afternoon session the teachers disguised themselves as children and presented dramas, songs and dances for their beloved students.All the teachers participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm, to show the students how much they love them. The children's joy knew no bounds as they witnessed their teachers on stage.

Teachers Day Celebrations

 A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to the way for others.

Teachers play a significant role in every students life. Don Bosco school(CBSE), Bandlaguda celebrated Teacher's Day on 5th September, in honour of all the teachers who make a huge difference in each and every students life.

This year, Teacher's Day began with pack of surprises from all the students. They were greeted in the morning with Flowers, Greeting Cards and a lot of gifts. Students took the initiative and organized various outdoor and indoor activities for Teachers in the morning session. Lunch get-together was arranged by the principal Fr.Suresh. The day was glorified by the presence of Fr.K.T.Jose (The Correspondent) and Fr.Sojan (The Treasurer).

To mark the occasion, an array of scintillating stage performances were presented by the school children in the afternoon session. All the teachers were amazed and happy by the way the things were organized and handled by the students. The Day wrapped up with students presenting a gift to all the Teachers as a token of appreciation.

Independence Day Celebrations

This year, Don Bosco School (CBSE), Bandlaguda celebrated 67th year of Independence day on 15th, August.The school atmosphere was filled with patriotism and love for the country. The children welcomed the Chief Guests with the school band.

The National Flag, the pride of our nation was hoisted by Rev.Fr.Balaraju sdb (The Provincial), who also inspired the students to nurture in them the spirit of unity and integrity. To mark this glorious day, the students performed various Dances, Songs infused with patriotism and depicted the rich cultural heritage of India. Speeches were given by many students, which expressed their love for our nation.

Grand Annual Day Celebrations at Don Bosco School (CBSE), Bandlaguda

Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda solemnly celebrated its 3rd annual day on 9 march. It was a grand celebration which saw the little stars twinkle on the ground. Many dignitaries including
Fr Raminedi Balaraju,the President of the school,
Chief Guest,          
Sri A. Muthyam Reddy, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Rajendra Nagar Division, guests of honour Sri M. Harichandra, Deputy DEO, Vikarabad, Sr Fatima Mary, the Superior General of CSSA, Fr T. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, the Correspondent, Fr P. Sojan, the Treasurer, parents, friends, well-wishers and over 1200 people were present on this occasion.The event opened with the lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest and the other dignitaries at 5:45 p.m. The President in his brief message enumerated the educative system of Don Bosco. Fr B Suresh, the Principal read out the annual report showcasing the prominent events, scholastic and co- scholastic activities of the school during the academic year 2012-13.

Appreciating the conducive learning environment and excellent infrastructure of the school M. Harichandra addressed the august gathering and motivated the parents to strengthen school-home connections and environment.

A mesmerizing cultural show with 100% participation of students grabbed the attention of the audience. From tiny toddlers to teenyboppers, the event encouraged, gave rewards and an opportunity to showcase their talents. Throughout the three hour show of excellence the students resplendent in various costumes enraptured the audience with their message driven cultural programs which were well thought off, prepared and presented. Programs like martial arts, cultural dances, aerobic dances, abacus calculations, folk arts, instrumentals, skits were nothing but subtle manifestations of the holistic human growth the students are receiving under the shade of this Don Bosco institution.

Inter - School Cultural Fest Organized By Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda.

Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda has organized inter-school cultural fest on 12^th February. As many as 18 schools across the city of Hyderabad with 300 participants have taken part in this cultural event. The programme is facilitated with a view to encourage our cultural games, arts, dances among the children of Hyderabad. Beginning with the inaugural ceremony at 9 a.m. the programme’s cultural competitions are started right away in solo dances, group dances, rangoli (Indian art), Painting simultaneously at different venues of the school premises. School Children attired in numerous cultural outfits geared up for the competitions in all their dignity to express the cultural legacy of India through various art forms. Besides they have also enjoyed meeting new friends from neighboring schools and a spirit of friendship was in the air. The one day cultural programme has come to a close at 5 in the evening with a concluding cum prize distribution ceremony. Fr Maddhichetty Michael, the chief guest and Fr Thathireddy Vijayabhaskar, the co-respondent is present for prize distribution and the programme ended with the speech of Fr Vijayabhaskar.  It is a day of Joy and grandeur as all the participants have expressed and witnessed the rich culture through the prism of art forms.

Inter - School Karate Competitions at Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda.

Don Bosco School Bandlaguda has become venue for the interschool Karate competitions on 9th February. Yadav Budokan Karate Academy, Kismatpura has organized this event in collaboration with the school management and the staff. 140 students from eight different schools with rigorous training and practice have come together to compete in this competition. Little Ninjas have been exhibiting their skills from morning under the supervision of six judges. Many of the students of Don Bosco, bandlaguda too have performed well and all are thrilled that their hard work and dedication paid off with six medals. The Principal of Rock School, Kismatpura, Mrs Vandana, the chief guest gave away the prizes to all the winners. The electrifying concluding ceremony, the rhythmic steps of the students and the final message by chief guest have given a fitting conclusion for the programme. A huge congratulations goes to the competitors and their coaches.
