A child has a special way in adding joy to every day

Children are special and to make them feel special, Don Bosco School (CBSE), Bandlaguda, celebrated Children's Day on 14th, November in the school campus. This year celebrations were witnessed till 23rd November, with various competitions each day and also a school Picnic for the children to have a blast.

The celebrations on the actual day were vibrant and colourful. The day kick started with sports competitions and other indoor events for all the students. The Children participated in all the events with a win-win attitude. There was also a special movie screening of all the events of the year, in which the students participated.

In the afternoon session the teachers disguised themselves as children and presented dramas, songs and dances for their beloved students.All the teachers participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm, to show the students how much they love them. The children's joy knew no bounds as they witnessed their teachers on stage.

Teachers Day Celebrations

 A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to the way for others.

Teachers play a significant role in every students life. Don Bosco school(CBSE), Bandlaguda celebrated Teacher's Day on 5th September, in honour of all the teachers who make a huge difference in each and every students life.

This year, Teacher's Day began with pack of surprises from all the students. They were greeted in the morning with Flowers, Greeting Cards and a lot of gifts. Students took the initiative and organized various outdoor and indoor activities for Teachers in the morning session. Lunch get-together was arranged by the principal Fr.Suresh. The day was glorified by the presence of Fr.K.T.Jose (The Correspondent) and Fr.Sojan (The Treasurer).

To mark the occasion, an array of scintillating stage performances were presented by the school children in the afternoon session. All the teachers were amazed and happy by the way the things were organized and handled by the students. The Day wrapped up with students presenting a gift to all the Teachers as a token of appreciation.

Independence Day Celebrations


This year, Don Bosco School (CBSE), Bandlaguda celebrated 67th year of Independence day on 15th, August.The school atmosphere was filled with patriotism and love for the country. The children welcomed the Chief Guests with the school band.

The National Flag, the pride of our nation was hoisted by Rev.Fr.Balaraju sdb (The Provincial), who also inspired the students to nurture in them the spirit of unity and integrity. To mark this glorious day, the students performed various Dances, Songs infused with patriotism and depicted the rich cultural heritage of India. Speeches were given by many students, which expressed their love for our nation.

Grand Annual Day Celebrations at Don Bosco School (CBSE), Bandlaguda

Sri A. Muthyam Reddy, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Rajendra Nagar Division, guests of honour Sri M. Harichandra, Deputy DEO, Vikarabad, Sr Fatima Mary, the Superior General of CSSA, Fr T. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, the Correspondent, Fr P. Sojan, the Treasurer, parents, friends, well-wishers and over 1200 people were present on this occasion.The event opened with the lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest and the other dignitaries at 5:45 p.m. The President in his brief message enumerated the educative system of Don Bosco. Fr B Suresh, the Principal read out the annual report showcasing the prominent events, scholastic and co- scholastic activities of the school during the academic year 2012-13.
Appreciating the conducive learning environment and excellent infrastructure of the school M. Harichandra addressed the august gathering and motivated the parents to strengthen school-home connections and environment.
A mesmerizing cultural show with 100% participation of students grabbed the attention of the audience. From tiny toddlers to teenyboppers, the event encouraged, gave rewards and an opportunity to showcase their talents. Throughout the three hour show of excellence the students resplendent in various costumes enraptured the audience with their message driven cultural programs which were well thought off, prepared and presented. Programs like martial arts, cultural dances, aerobic dances, abacus calculations, folk arts, instrumentals, skits were nothing but subtle manifestations of the holistic human growth the students are receiving under the shade of this Don Bosco institution.

Inter - School Cultural Fest Organized By Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda.



Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda has organized inter-school cultural fest on 12th February. As many as 18 schools across the city of Hyderabad with 300 participants have taken part in this cultural event. The programme is facilitated with a view to encourage our cultural games, arts, dances among the children of Hyderabad. Beginning with the inaugural ceremony at 9 a.m. the programme’s cultural competitions are started right away in solo dances, group dances, rangoli (Indian art), Painting simultaneously at different venues of the school premises. School Children attired in numerous cultural outfits geared up for the competitions in all their dignity to express the cultural legacy of India through various art forms. Besides they have also enjoyed meeting new friends from neighboring schools and a spirit of friendship was in the air. The one day cultural programme has come to a close at 5 in the evening with a concluding cum prize distribution ceremony. Fr Maddhichetty Michael, the chief guest and Fr Thathireddy Vijayabhaskar, the co-respondent is present for prize distribution and the programme ended with the speech of Fr Vijayabhaskar.  It is a day of Joy and grandeur as all the participants have expressed and witnessed the rich culture through the prism of art forms.

Inter - School Karate Competitions at Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda.

Don Bosco School Bandlaguda has become venue for the interschool Karate competitions on 9th February. Yadav Budokan Karate Academy, Kismatpura has organized this event in collaboration with the school management and the staff. 140 students from eight different schools with rigorous training and practice have come together to compete in this competition. Little Ninjas have been exhibiting their skills from morning under the supervision of six judges. Many of the students of Don Bosco, bandlaguda too have performed well and all are thrilled that their hard work and dedication paid off with six medals. The Principal of Rock School, Kismatpura, Mrs Vandana, the chief guest gave away the prizes to all the winners. The electrifying concluding ceremony, the rhythmic steps of the students and the final message by chief guest have given a fitting conclusion for the programme. A huge congratulations goes to the competitors and their coaches.

Children's Day Celebrated at Don Bosco Bandlaguda

Don Bosco School Bandlaguda on 14th November has celebrated children's day in the school campus. Children have been participating in an array of competitions to mark the advent of the day since 8th of this month.

On the actual day teachers manifested their love towards the children. They have sung, danced, play acted, made speeches and performed many other programmes to make the day a memorable one. Children are filled with awe as they see their own teachers shake the stage with their steps. Fr Vijaya Bhaskar, the Corespondent, Fr Sojan, the administrator, Fr Suresh, the principal, staff, students and parents are present for the occasion. Children enjoyed their day with fun and frolic. The Meticulousness with which the programmes are presented is appreciated most.

Vanamahotsavam Celebrated at Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda.

The students and the staff of Don Bosco school Bandlaguda celebrated Vanamahotsavam (Feast of the Forest) on 16th of October in the presence of Fr Simon Manjooran, the chief guest (former Provincial of Hungary and a member of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad), Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the correspondent of the school, Fr Bandha Suresh, the principal and Fr Puthussery Sojan.
The ceremonial part of the event was preceded by the chief guest's message on ecology and biodiversity. The chief guest then, along with the other guests of honour, planted Chinese Palms in the school campus.                                                        
Students and the teachers took an active part in the event. Around 200 saplings were planted by the students. The students collectively have taken an oath to protect and nurture the saplings that are planted in the campus and to keep the surrounding environment clean.

Teachers Day Celebration at Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda.

Teachers are the nation-builders. They build the future citizens of the country. On 5th of September Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda celebrates the teachers day. The day is packed with lots of activity. Morning sessions are designed to felicitate the class teachers by the students in their own class rooms. Lunch is organized by Fr Bandha Suresh the principal, with the coordination of the teachers who have taken initiatives in preparing various cuisines that are shared in the afternoon. The post lunch session is animated by the students. Teachers have taken active participation in playing various games organized by seventh class students. Cl Sarath Parry and Cl Mallavarapu Anil who are present for this programme also showed their Salesian dexterity in organizing party games for the teachers. The day ended with a meaningful cultural programme staged by the students.

Independence Day Celebrations at Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda

Fr Balaraju in his message to the students emphasized on "being honest citizens of the country." The cultural programme which was performed by the students symbolized a mosaic of Indian cultures. The events also included the performance of classical dance, yogasanas and martial arts done by the students. Sudeep a student of class 5 made the audience spell bound with his impact filled patrotic speech. The events were so efficaciously organized by Fr Suresh Bandha the principal and the staff that the whole celebration evoked the patriotic spirit in the audience.

August 15, 2012 was a joyous day for the students and the faculty of Don Bosco School (CBSE) Bandlaguda, Hyderabad not only because it was the 66th Independence Day but also because it was the first ever Independence Day celebrated in the school campus. The day's celebration started off at 8:00 in the morning beginnng with the welcoming of the Chief Guest and the distinguished dignitaries with the Bosco band by school children. The national flag was hoisted by the Cheif Guest Fr Raminedi Balaraju, the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad. Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the Correspondent of the school, Fr Simon Manjooran, Fr Papaiah the parish priest of Bandlaguda parish were the other dignitaries present for the day's celebration
